Medical Ethics is a necessity. The profession must either re-embrace it or suffer the loss of its soul. Government regulation and special interests lobby for a moral fiction they call ‘public health’ or the ‘good of the people.’ But public health is found only between the clinician and her patient. Protect your patients. Relight the old passion that drove you to medicine in the first place—healing sick patients. Recommit to sound medical ethics for the good of your patient, for the good of your conscience, for the good of the profession, for the good of society.
